The scent, the thoughtful packaging, the sensation on the skin. But anyone who has truly experienced the creation of a cosmetic product knows that the real difference comes much earlier—it comes from the ingredients.
At DRYDEE, a young (almost) all-female company born to revolutionize solid cosmetics, this awareness has become our cornerstone.
From self-production to the industrial challenge
Our journey began simply: we were passionate about natural cosmetics and created solid cosmetics for ourselves and the people we loved. They were artisanal products, the result of testing, research, and creative freedom. There were no time constraints, nor any compromises on quality.
If an ingredient was extraordinary, we chose it. Period.
With the shift to larger-scale production, new complexities have emerged. Volumes increase, rules change, and quality—suddenly—comes at a price that can shake even the most determined decisions.
It was at that moment that we understood how important it was to stay true to our initial vision.
What the INCI doesn't say
Anyone who reads a label carefully knows that the INCI (list of ingredients) is just a starting point. It tells you what's in a product, but it doesn't explain how each ingredient was selected, processed, or obtained.
Two cosmetics can have the same INCI and feel completely different on the skin. Because simply writing "shea butter" or "coconut oil" isn't enough: the origin, purity, and extraction method are what count.
In solid cosmetics, this truth is even more evident: without water, every ingredient is present in concentrated form. There's no room for filters or dilutions. Just substance.
And if the raw material isn't up to par, the leather knows it at first touch.
A promise to keep
Choosing only high-quality ingredients, especially on a large scale, is a challenge. But it's also what allows us to be credible. We can look those who choose our products in the eye and honestly say:
“Yes, you can trust me.”
Today's consumers are more aware, attentive, and demanding. They want to know what they use, why, and where each ingredient comes from. We want to live up to this awareness. Offering transparency, of course—but above all, authentic choices.
Quality is not an option: it is the foundation
There is one thing we have learned in the transition from craftsmanship to professional production:
The quality is beyond discussion.
In solid cosmetics, each ingredient serves a specific purpose. There's no room for fillers or compromises.
Precisely for this reason, the choice of raw materials is everything.
We're just getting started. But we have clear ideas.
Our goal is clear: to create ethical, sustainable, and effective cosmetics, starting from what really matters: the ingredients.
Because behind every name on the label there could be a valuable choice.
And every day, we choose to make a difference.
In conclusion
If there's one thing this trip has taught us, it's that:
Quality is non-negotiable.
Especially in solid cosmetics, where every ingredient really counts.
We're just getting started, but we're determined to build something real. A product that's ethical, effective, and transparent. Born from a profound, concrete, and tangible value.
Because behind every name in INCI, there can be a world of difference.
